Shades Cahaba Owl Prowl

Kindergarten - 5th Grade

When: Sunday, October 8, 2017

Where: Shades Cahaba Elementary School

Course: 1/2 mile - Kindergarten & 1st Grade / 1 mile 2nd - 5th grades; interval starts

RACE INFO

Race packets (with t-shirts) will be distributed the week prior to the race.  Meet at the field behind the school.  The race will start at the flag door and finish at the side of the school.  Please plan to have your child at the start by 1:45 p.m. for warm-up.  Water will be available for all runners at the finish line but we ask that parents bring a water bottle for pre-race.

DEADLINE/PAYMENT

To receive a t-shirt, the bottom portion of this form must be completed & returned with $15 payment prior to THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2017.  Scholarships available, please ask Dr. Lowry/Mrs. Ennis for more information!

AWARDS

Every participant will receive an awesome runner’s medal.  Grand Prize Trophies will be awarded to the overall boy & girl winner.  Trophies will also be awarded to the top three boys & girls per grade.  The class with the highest percentage of participants will win an Extreme Field Day.

PARKING

Please allow a few extra minutes for parking on race day.   Parking is limited around the school since nearby businesses have requested that Owl Prowl participants not park in their parking lots during the race.  Also, to ensure the safety of our runners, please do not park at the school or along the race route.  There is ample parking along neighborhood streets, such as Bonita, portions of La Prado and Poinciana, each of which is just a short walk to the school.
